Love to Slay is a community for individuals passionate about makeup to share their reviews, read about the latest makeup trends in our blogs and earn free makeup from competitions, subscriptions and offers.

  1. Information we collect about you

As a Social Influencer for Love to Slay, we collect your full name and the email address you used to create a Love to Slay account. We also collect your social media handle for marketing purposes and the images and videos you provide us with to be published publicly for promotional material.

  1. Our lawful basis for processing

To collect and further process your personal data for marketing purposes we rely on your consent. Your consent is freely given, we only collect personal data necessary to promote Love to Slay.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. If you withdraw your consent, we will remove your name, social media handle, images and videos from public platforms that were published by Love to Slay. Please note, we do not have control over material that has been copied from our website or social media platforms.

To withdraw your consent for us to use your material to promote Love to Slay on the media platforms you agreed, please email Zara: zara@lovetoslay.co.uk providing her with your name and email address.

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you can exercise any one of the following rights:

Right to Access

You can access your data processed by us at any time. We will confirm what data is being processed, provide you with a copy of your data in addition to confirming your data rights. If you wish to access your data, please email our Data Protection Officer at dpo@submissiontechnology.co.uk. Your request will remain confidential. If there is something specific that you would like to access, please let us know in your email.

If we are unable or unwilling to agree to your request, we aim to inform you without undue delay but at the very latest within one month of receipt of your request, why we have refused the request and that you have the right to complain to the supervisory authority. Your request will be free of charge in most circumstances.

Right to Rectification

We encourage you to tell us if the data we hold on you is inaccurate so we can rectify our records and ensure they are up to date. If you wish to amend any inaccurate data, please email our Data Protection Officer at dpo@submissiontechnology.co.uk.

Right to Erasure

If you would like to erase the personal data you provided us for promotional material, please email zara@lovetoslay.co.uk. We will respond with confirmation as to whether we or cannot delete the material you would like erased. If we cannot erase material, we will explain why and confirm any actions required to allow us to do so.

Restrict Processing

If you make a restriction request, we will store a copy of the data you provided us with but we cannot use this data. We will inform you if the restriction needs to be lifted. To request restriction of your data, please email zara@lovetoslay.co.uk. We will confirm whether this can take place and the next steps that we will take. If we cannot restrict your data, we will explain why and confirm any actions required to allow us to do so.

Object to Processing

You can object to the processing of your data at any time. This right will only apply if we are using your data in relation to a legitimate interest. If you object, we will no longer process your data unless we have a compelling and legitimate reason not to do so (e.g. a legal obligation). In this case, you will be informed why we cannot stop processing your data. To object to the processing we do where

Data Portability

You can request for us to transfer your data to another entity or person, where we are processing your data with your consent or in accordance with a contract. This will only apply to information which is processed by automated means (e.g. by a computer). Where feasible, we will send your data directly to another entity or person.

 

  1. How long we keep your data for

When you fill in our consent form, we keep a record of when you signed the form and what information you are happy to provide and where you are happy for this data to be published permanently.

As a standard retention period, we store your images and videos for a period of 2 years in our media bank. After 2 years, your images and videos will no longer be used to promote Love to Slay and they will be erased from the media bank.

Any personal data published on the Love to Slay website or social media platforms operated by Love to Slay will remain public permanently unless you request erasure of your personal data.

  1. Sharing your information

We may share your personal data with the persons and in the contexts set out below:

  • Social Media providers including Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube depending on your preferences;
  • Service providers who provide us with IT, system administration, and other services;
  • Professional advisers including lawyers, bankers, auditors and insurers who provide consultancy, banking, legal, insurance and accounting services; and,
  • Persons to whom we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, including without limitation public authorities who may need to see your personal data to meet national security or law enforcement requirements, and regulators and other authorities who require reporting of processing activities in certain circumstances.

 

  1. Your right to complain

In exercising any of your rights, we will endeavour to act without undue delay but no later than one month. We will need to confirm your identity before completing any action on your behalf and reserve the right to not complete action until we are satisfied that it is you that is making the request. If we cannot complete your request, we will inform you within one month and explain why.

If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing your personal data not in accordance with the law you have the right to make a complaint to the UK Supervisory Authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
