Estée Lauder double wear foundation

August 12th 2019

Let me start off by saying that I have tried A LOT of foundations over the years. Drug store, high end, luxury, you name it, and NOTHING has worked with me as well as this foundation. (I've tried milani, maybelline, loreal, too faced, make up forever, kat von d, etc.) It blurs everything without feeling cakey and it lasts forever. The longest I wore it for was for 10 hours, and it didn't even budge. The only thing that didn't work for me is that it didn't work well with my setting powder when I baked (but I think that's just the setting powder because I've had previous issues with it) When you first put it on it doesn't look great but that's okay, give it like 15 minutes for it to really melt in and it looks gorgeous, and it plays well with other face products (concealer, countour, highlight, blush, etc). I put it on with a wet beauty blender. I would start on one part of the face and move around versus putting dots all over your face and blending as you go, because it can dry fast. I have combination skin with seriously dry patches, but I get oily in my T-zones. The issue I always have with foundation is it clings to my dry patches and looks like it's melting off my T-zone, no matter what primer/setting powder/setting spray I use. This foundation didn't do that. I use the Cerave moisturizer, then the ELF mineral primer, this foundation with a wet beauty blender (I spray it with the elf mist and set because I didn't like the way it set my face but it helps the foundation blend nicely), Colourpop concealer, colourpop setting powder (I'm not a huge fan, but this is what I have for now) and when I'm done with everything, I set it with the Urban Decay all nighter spray. I live in ridiculously humid Texas and it even stood up to that and the wind! So if you're on the fence I would definitely give it a try!
