The search for the perfect concealer can feel that it’s never-ending, but formulations are improving, and brands are working quickly to cater to everyone’s specific needs. If you have dry skin, you may need a creamy concealer that blends and covers without exacerbating dry patches, or perhaps your undereye circles are so dark you need max coverage and some light shifting pigments to diffuse imperfections, or maybe your current go-to is a crease monster or fades away two hours into your day. Whatever the case, it’s worth exploring what’s new to the market, and these highly reviewed just-launched concealers are a great place to start.

1.Stila Pixel Perfect Concealer, £18

Launched the first week of January 2020, Stila’s Pixel Perfect Concealer is super creamy in texture, and doesn’t hold back in terms of coverage which melts into the skin for a natural, crease-free finish. What makes it special is that it has ingredients built in that don’t just conceal and correct in the short term, but that work harder for you to improve the quality of your skin over the long term. It’s infused with elderflower, Irish sea moss, and baobab extracts, which help calm, de-puff, and nourish the sensitive skin around your eyes.

2. e.l.f. Cosmetics Hydrating Camo Concealer, £6

You’ll have a hard time finding a concealer that costs less and has as much positive feedback as e.l.f. Cosmetics’ new Hydrating Camo Concealer. The brand really knocked it out of the park with their 16HR Camo Concealer, but ultimately decided to launch another (very similar) product with a more hydrating formulation ideal for those with dry or combo skin.

Like the original, this one boasts full coverage and a crease-resistant formula, but the inclusion of sodium hyaluronate means you have a moisturized and satin finish versus a matte finish. In our opinion, even if you do have oily skin, it’s better to have a hydrating concealer under your eyes because this area tends to be dry on everyone, and it eliminates a potential for creasing. It might make more sense to use the OG version on other areas of your face, though, if you have oily skin or if you prefer a more matte finish.

3. Becca Cosmetics Light Shifter Brightening Concealer, £21

The brand that brought us the cult-favourite Shimmering Skin Perfect – and its goal delivering that “lit from within” glow – has done it again with their freshly debuted Light Shifter Brightening Concealer. In addition to being formulated with hydrating hyaluronic acid and soothing green tea, it contains skin brightening crystallised liquorice and light shifting pigments that diffuse imperfections for a flawless, glowing finish. The formula is lightweight and buildable, and in addition to using it as a concealer, you can apply it to high points on the face for a subtle sculpting effect. It also has a built-in sponge tip.

4. Hourglass Vanish™ Airbrush Concealer, £32

This shiny new concealer by Hourglass is barely a couple of weeks old and has already sent the beauty world spinning in joyous circles. Beauty editors are shouting from the rooftop over its longevity and coverage, YouTube beauty gurus are singing its praises, and raving reviews are piling up as you read this. Though full coverage, Vanish goes on incredibly light and locks in quickly to prevent creasing, smearing, and fading throughout the day. It’s made with microspherical powders that blur and brighten, camellia to hydrate, and cica to soothe.

5. Revolution Conceal & Hydrate Concealer, £7

Makeup Revolution are pros at developing hard working products that don't leave a dent in your purse, and their latest complexion collection contains creamy, hyaluronic acid infused foundations and concealers that will get your base glossy in just a tick. This concealer is suitable for everyone looking for a lightweight finish with a boost of moisture. Offering all-day hydration thanks to an infusion of hyaluronic acid, it covers blemishes, evens skin tone and counteracts dark circles, while drenching skin with moisture. Designed for drier skin, the sheer, satin finish won’t settle into fine lines, and the doe foot applicator allows for a smooth, delicate application.

6.Tarte Shape Tape™ Glow Wand, £22

Just like Shape Tape Contour Concealer, the new Glow Wand is vegan and cruelty-free, formulated with plant extracts, mango, shea butter and licorice root extract and without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates and sodium laurel sulfate. It’s shaped just like the OG Shape Tape with a doe-foot applicator but has a new, even-better addition: a removable sponge on the other end for easy application.

What we like so much about the Glow Wand is the way it makes the skin look illuminated but not overly highlighted. That’s because it’s made with micro-fine pearl pigments and no glitter or shimmer. It comes in eight shades so all skin tones and get in on the glowy action.
